(Ciudad de México, 1934-2017). Painter, sculptor, engraver and illustrator. Protagonist of the "Rupture Generation", was one of the most outstanding representatives of the neo figurative art. He began his artistic education at the age of 10, and in the 1950s he made his first international exhibition in the United States. He participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, Greece, China, India, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, El Salvador and Nicaragua, as well as Mexico, of course. In 1992 the Museum bearing his name was inaugurated, in which some of his most representative works are exhibited, including the monumental sculpture, "La Giganta", inspired by a poem by Charles Baudelaire.
